We are primarily interested in candidates with enthusiasm, strong ability and a willingness to work as part of a team. The successful candidates should have a strong background in archaeology, enjoy working out of doors and be willing to apply themselves to developing their career in the discipline. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office is preferable.

Candidates for supervisory positions will have at least 5 years’ experience in UK commercial archaeology and be able to run small to medium projects on their own as well as act in a supervisory role within a larger team. Candidates for trainee positions will have less than one years’ UK commercial archaeology experience and will enter our structured CIfA-Approved training programme overseen by experienced field and office staff leading ultimately to a PCIfA application and accreditation. This post comes with a salary range of £17,000 to £18,500 depending on length of experience.
