On Saturday 8 June, GUARD Archaeologist, Ronan Toolis, one of the co-directors of last year's Galloway Picts Project excavation, will provide a training session on how to explain Trusty's Hill and what the recent finds can tell us about the significance of this once royal stronghold of a lost Dark Age kingdom.

Ronan will begin at the Mill on the Fleet, Gatehouse of Fleet, at 10 am, before leading a walk to Trusty's Hill, returning by 1 pm.

This free event will be of interest to anyone who wants to be able to take friends and family or a group of visitors around Trusty's Hill.

This event is part of the Gatehouse Development Initiative's All Our Stories Gatehouse of Fleet in the Dark Ages project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
